Just seeing off the 60th anniversary of the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ICCAS), we are here with pleasure to conduct A Special Column for Young Scientists at ICCAS published in Chinese Chemistry Letters (CCL) endeavoring to disseminate positive energy of several enthusiastic chemists and spread their recent research to the global scientific community.
The CCL is an official journal of the Chinese Chemical Society, founded in July 1990. CCL is a peer reviewed journal that provides access to the current research and covers latest advancements in all areas of chemistry including inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, polymer chemistry, applied chemistry, etc., satisfying a real and urgent need for the dissemination of research results, especially hot topics.
Known as a multi-disciplinary research institute dedicated to the basic research in broad fields of chemical sciences, ICCAS aim at key developments of innovative technologies according to imperative national needs and important strategic targets, as well as collaborative applications and transformation of scientific research results. Since its establishment, the high impact scientific spiritsof senior research scientists and the increased number of young scientists have created a good atmosphere continuously promoting the strength and capability of ICCAS for innovative basic research. ICCAS is one of China's leading chemistry research institutions with high international reputation.
The major research areas of ICCAS include polymer science, physical chemistry, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, and inorganic chemistry, with focuses on a few frontiers of molecular/ cluster and nanosciences, organic and polymeric materials, chemical biology, as well as energy and green chemistry. While not all researchers at ICCAS have contributed to this special columnin CCL, it is an honor to highlight the contributions by ten scientists who work on a few of the aforementioned research fields. We arrange them into 5 topics as shown below. Hopefully it sheds light on one corner of young scientists at ICCAS and brings forth broad interest to CCL readers.
