Abstract:A new species, Draconarius drepanoides sp. nov., collected from Mt. Taiyang, Congiang county, Guizhou province, was described, photographed and illustrated. Type specimen was deposited in School of Life Sciences, Southwest University, Chongqing, China. All measurements given here were in mm.
Draconarius drepanoides sp. nov.
Holotype. Male, Mt. Taiyang, Congjiang county, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou province, 25°36.402'N, 108°18.718'E, Alt. 1120 m, 28 September 2014, collected by Huiming Chen and Tian Lu.
Etymology: The specific name comes from the Latin words "drepanoides", meaning "sickle-shaped" and refers to the shape of the conductor; adjective.
Diagnosis: This new species is similar to D. bifarius Wang & Martens, 2009 (Page 462, figs 4~5), but can be distinguished by the sickle-shaped conductor, the closely connected median apophysis with tegular sclerite and the absence of patellar apophysis (Figs 2, 3, 5, 6). This new species is also similar to D. falcatus Xu & Li, 2006 (Page 5, figs 5~7), but can be recognized by the spoon-like median apophysis, the absence of patellar apophysis and the not bifurcated distal of conductor (Figs 2, 3, 5, 6).
Description: holotype male (Fig 7). Total length 8.44: carapace 4.58 long, 3.28 wide; abdomen 3.87 long, 2.59 wide. Eye sizes and interdistances: diameter of anterior median eyes (AME) 0.13, diameter of anterior lateral eyes (ALE) 0.21, diameter of posterior median eyes (PME) 0.17, diameter of posterior lateral eyes (PLE) 0.20; distance between AME and AME (AME-AME) 0.07, distance between AME and ALE (AME-ALE) 0.05, distance between PME and PME (PME-PME) 0.10, distance between PME and PLE (PME-PLE) 0.18, distance between ALE and PLE (ALE-PLE) 0.06. Median ocular area (MOA) 0.48 long, 0.47 front width, 0.34 back width. Clypeus 0.16 height. Chelicerae with 3 promarginal and 2 retromarginal teeth. Leg measurements: Ⅰ 12.96 (3.56+4.19+3.17+2.04), Ⅱ 11.54 (3.21+3.79+2.80+1.74), Ⅲ 11.40 (3.29+3.57+3.04+1.50), Ⅳ 14.32 (3.88+4.74+3.96+1.74). Leg formula: 4123. Male palp (Figs 1~6) with the absence of patellar apophysis, RTA strong, lateral apophysis small. Embolus slender. Conductor with transparent lamella and sickle-shaped end. Conductor dorsal apophysis present. Median apophysis spoon-like. Cymbial furrow deep, its length was about a half of cymbium.

Draconarius drepanoides sp. nov.
