NTNU is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow. The
candidate is expected to pursue research in the area of
communication networks. A particular focus is on designing robust
and cost-efficient network architectures and approaches to support
communication between heterogeneous nodes in coastal and arctic
maritime operations and surveillance (CAMOS) sensor networks for
the IME Lighthouse project CAMOS. A possible application
scenario is communication and networking for deep sea mining.
The design should take into consideration the special
characteristics of sensor networks, such as heterogeneous nodes
and intermittent communication. The architectures and approaches
should also incorporate a management framework that enables
coordination and optimization of the network in order to fulfill the
desired performance criteria, e.g. delay, reliability and network
energy efficiency. To apply: http://ec.europa.eu/euraxess/index.cfm/
