University of Michigan is seeking highly motivated postdocs to join a
team applying interdisciplinary methods to map and quantitatively
model bacterial regulatory networks. They use a combination of
experiments in microbial physiology, systems-level measurements of
biomolecular interactions, and physics-based multiscale modeling to
develop a quantitative, predictive understanding of the logic of
bacterial regulatory networks, the evolutionary history encoded in
them, and the ways in which they shape the responses of bacterial
cells to new stress conditions. As they aim to establish a cohesive
and interdisciplinary team, preference will be shown for candidates
with research interests in more than one of the above areas.
Considerable flexibility is available on the exact research path to be
taken, as long as projects fall within the broad interests and
capabilities of the lab. Positions are available starting January 1,
2015. For more information on the laboratory, see http://www.
biochem.med.umich.edu/?q=freddolino. To apply, upload a CV,
cover letter, and list of three references to http://umjobs.org/job_detail/apply/97786. Your cover letter should outline your recent
research accomplishments, the reason for your interest in their work,
the pertinent skill sets that you already possess, and the new
research proficiencies you hope to build during your postdoctoral
work.(源于Science [2014-07-23])
