The Cell Biology and Biophysics Unit at the National Institutes of Health headed by Dr. Roll-Mecak has two open positions: one for a postdoctoral fellow interested in investigating the effects of tubulin post-translational modifications on microtubule dynamics and molecular motors, and a position for a research technician well- versed in molecular biology, biochemistry and large scale protein expression. Experience with large- scale expression in insect and mammalian cells is a definite advantage for the latter position. The successful postdoctoral candidate must have a PhD in a relevant discipline with a strong publication record and expertise in biochemistry, cell biology, advanced fluorescence and/ or reconstitution methodology.
