University of Utah is seeking talent, high caliber, motivated, and
hard working postdoctoral researches to join a dynamic
interdisciplinary team of sciences focused on nuclear receptor
mediated circadian clock regulation of alcoholic liver disease (ER
stress, inflammation, lipid metabolism, signaling transduction) and
liver cancer cell metabolic reprogramming by environmental
toxicant. Other projects include bile acid metabolism and
microRNA in liver and metabolic diseases. Approaches include
molecular biology, mouse physiology, high throughput
transcriptomics (RNA-seq) and metabolomics. Knowledge and
experience in cell biology using primary cells (hepatocyates,

Baylor College of Medicine is seeking applicants for a postdoctoral
research position. The postdoctoral scholar will work
collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team on an NIH-funded
project aimed at understanding the molecular code of local circuit
connectivity. The postdoctoral scholar will help to develop,
validate and implement single- cell gene expression techniques
such as RT- PCR and RNASeq and work together with
electrophysiologists in the lab to correlate single cell gene
expression with connectivity patterns. The postdoctoral scholar will
also have the opportunity to develop his/her own project in related
topics including but not limited to neocortical networks and

Florida State University opens a postdoctoral position to
investigate circadian modulation of alcohol behaviors and alcoholinduced
tissue damage in Drosophila melanogaster. They are
interested in identification of the mechanisms through which the
circadian clock modulates the effects of alcohol from the cellular
to the behavioral level. The person in this position will perform
genetic, molecular and biochemical studies of the genes and
pathways involved in the circadian regulation of alcohol-induced
damage. Qualifications: Highly motivated individuals with previous
experience using Drosophila and a PhD in neuroscience, biology,
